Go, stop, go…wait!

I am writing this from the pre-op room. We met with anesthesia, blah blah blah, had numbing cream on his back to prep for needles, anddddddds…..

Luke’s counts aren’t high enough to do bone marrow biopsy or lumbar puncture. He has to do his inhaler pentamadine now (lung protection) and we will come back Tuesday for another try. Winters isn’t concerned his counts aren’t higher-his monocytes are still cranking and she thinks it’s because he didn’t get the “g” marrow stimulating drug. We are a bit disappointed as we want this process to speed up, or go as planned (that’s funny. Nothing goes as planned with cancer), so he can eventually get back to his real life. Luke said “well, it gives me 3 more days to find a match!” Always finding the positive.
